Calling all Former Inwood Lifeguards,
As summer is in full swing the thoughts here in Inwood go toward the need for a NEW SWIMMING POOL. As you may be aware, Inwood is presently carrying out a MAJOR effort to raise money to build a new swimming pool. Our pool built in 1969 was built with contributions, volunteer labor, and lots of hard work. A pool today costs over a million dollars and our economy dollars are stretched further and further. Therefore, we are sending out a call to former lifeguards to aide in our cause.
You are the “unsung” pool heroes of Inwood! So many memories of swimming lessons, diving board jumping, swim fun nights, and sunning at the pool come to mind. We appreciate all the long hours you each gave to the pool so area kids could have fun in the summer!!
Are you up for a challenge!! The Inwood Pool Committee is sending out a challenge to former lifeguards to send a contribution to help make our new pool a reality! As Inwood paid you in wages, now you can give to the pool of tomorrow!
We challenge you to reach DEEP and help us meet our goal of $10,000 for the Lifeguard Challenge! Thank you for your continued support of helping Inwood families.

*Payable to Inwood Swimming Pool. Return in enclosed envelope by August 1, 2010. Please call Jenn Jenson (Van Egdom) 753-4961 with any questions.

*The Inwood website (www.inwoodiowa.com) will be updated starting in July. We will post your contribution with your name or list anonymous with amount to challenge others to match what other lifeguards are doing.
